Converse x Todd Snyder "Rebel Prep" Collection

Todd Snyder founded his namesake label in NYC in 2011. Born and raised in Ames, Iowa, Snyder moved to New York to design outerwear for Polo Ralph Lauren before becoming the director of menswear for the GAP Inc. Afterwards, Snyder became SVP of menswear at J.Crew, where he introduced formal wear and created collaborations with heritage brands, including the Timex, Red Wing Shoes, Thomas Mason and Alden. Todd Snyder brand launched its first menswear collection in the Fall of 2011 at Bergdorf Goodman, Ron Herman, and Neiman Marcus. Snyder’s signature aesthetic is inspired by Savile Row Craftmanship, Military Tailoring, and New York Style.

With his latest collaboration with Converse, Todd has joined forces again to create The Rebel Prep Collection, a thoroughly modern mashup of streetwear (hoodies, joggers) and traditional gentleman’s fabrics (tartans, velours, and British Millerain’s water-resistant waxed cotton). The collection includes rugby shirts and two Converse icons—the Chuck 70 Hi Top and the Jack Purcell Ox—that are remade in a fabric more typically found on-field clothing.
