Sky High Farm Workwear

We present : Sky High Farm Workwear Spring Summer ‘25 collection, “Sweet Dreamz,” co-creatively directed by artist and designer Eri Wakiyama.

The collection evokes a sweet nostalgia for Wakiyama’s childhood, with her childhood mermaid bed sheets as its point of origin: the sense and tactile memories of snuggling and curling up in them as you safely dream. It also embodies the uncertain transition from adolescence to adulthood: a tension emerges as the whimsical gives way to the realities of the world; eventually they are reduced to a distant memory.

The collection reimagines classic vintage bed sheets through a contemporary lens, featuring a charming cast of original Wakiyama characters: spirited and whimsical Straw Babiez, the bashful Shy Shroomiez, and the drowsy Sleepy Shoopz, Bloomin’ Bud Budz, and Dr. Red Moon, who are interspersed
with phrases such as “nightmare you are my sweet” and “if you’re confused, don’t worry because…(me too!!)”

The collection features a subdued palette of earthy tones, cool blues, grays, and black, with Wakiyama's vibrant cartoon characters providing pops of color throughout. Balancing fashion-forward, sleepwear pieces and workwear silhouettes carried over from previous seasons, the garments are made primarily from deadstock, organic, and recycled fabrics. The darker elements of the collection are materialized in punky, raw unfinished seams and smoking, depressed Straw Babies, juxtaposing opposing impulses:
hopefulness and bleakness; cuteness and scariness.
